How can I pay annual/sick leave recorded after a pay cycle is processed?

The payroll activity suggests the payment of annual/sick leave based on whether there is unpaid leave that falls within the pay period selected. It is possible to complete/process a pay cycle and then subsequently record leave which was overlooked. When the time comes to process the following pay period, the unpaid leave from the previous period is not included in the payment.

To overcome this, it is advisable to post an irregular payment, dated presently but for the period in which the unpaid leave is posted. No working hours should be included in the payment, only the balance of unpaid leave. When the payment is processed, the leave records and accruals will be corrected.
